Asphalt Paving

At Chamberlain we specialize in paving public and private use parking lots. Not highway, not driveways but parking lots. This means that our entire fleet of equipment and mindset of our people are focused on paving parking lots. We know the difference between a lot that needs a complete repaving or one that needs something less costly. We will recommend, and can perform, the service that’s right for your parking lot. We also have a full spectrum of equipment from small to large (pavers, rollers, milling machines, digging equipment and dump trucks) that are the right size for the job. All this adds up to less downtime for your parking lot and the best quality job available in the industry.

Any paving job starts with notifying your tenants and customers that the parking lot (or a section of it) will be closed for a period of time. We help you with the notification process. Most importantly, we show up on the day we say we will.

Next we perform any asphalt patching to make the lot structurally sound. We clean the pavement, perform any edge milling necessary and if specified we apply paving fabric. We tack coat the lot thoroughly to make sure the new pavement bonds to the old. We haul the asphalt to the job in our own trucks and leave the lot with an even layer of new asphalt. While the lot is still blocked off, our striping crews will layout and paint new parking spaces and other traffic markings.

An asphalt paving job (or overlay), properly done, will make your parking lot new again. The life of a repaved parking lot should be greater than the life of the original lot because the thickness of the new pavement will be greater than it was originally.
